My Life Skills program utilizes a variety of exercises to help identify needs, issues and resources. The exercises are also meant to build skills and provide individuals an opportunity to put into practice the material that they have learnt as it applies to their specific case. Simply being provided information is not enough to understand the material. Applying the material being presented to one's own life will add meaning to it and convey to the individual how it impacts and can improve their own life. Exercises also act as a structured plan to achieve or acquire many items that many of us take for-granted (ie. ID or an e-mail address).
