We are quick to judge and write off those "junkies" we see in our downtown without a single thought as to their daily survival struggle. This is not a life they chose. In most cases it was circumstances beyond their control combined with limited family and societal support. We as a society should be ashamed that we find it acceptable that things can get this bad for a person and yet we simply judge and turn away rather than offer our compassion and support.
