Thoughts Become Mindset
SMART Recovery shows me the how to retrain my brain. It all begins with my thoughts and how I respond to them. It shows me that I can think for myself and that my thoughts impact how I feel. If I focus more on gratitude and that which brings me joy rather than my struggles, I will feel better. Over time, I begin to believe that my life is not so bad after all and that I am surrounded with blessings. Eventually this grateful feeling becomes my mindset and before I know it I have joy in my life.
