Free Therapy Sessions
Now that it is summer, free therapy is easily accessible just outside your door. Environmental therapy is available in the winter as well however it takes a little more preparation and unless you are prepared for the cold, can be quite short lived. Summer holds very few such boundaries. Even going for a walk in the rain can prove to be very mindful and therapeutic.
Here are a few suggestions for you to try this summer.
- Going for a walk with headphones paying extra attention to the scenery all around you
- Going for a walk without headphones being mindful of the sounds all around you
- Walking in the rain, feeling every drop on your skin and listening to the sound of the rain
- Walking barefoot on the grass feeling the blades on the bottom of your feet
- Walking barefoot on the beach letting the water rush up and over your feet as the sand squishes between your toes
- Going for a jog early in the morning when there are few other sounds but the birds
- Going for a swim as swimming is very active and refreshing
- Playing any active outdoor game to get some physical exercise
There are an endless number of outdoor activities that you can partake in during the summer. Get out and regenerate some vitamin D, get some exercise, ease your mind and enjoy the scenery.
