The Relative Strength of Opioids
There are a wide range of opioids available today, both through prescription and illicit. Potency is determined by relative strength, compared to the oral administration of morphine.
Many factors play into the actual strength and it's effect on the body. Chronic use builds up a tolerance and reduces the potency or effect on a person. Route of administration also plays a big part, as the bioavailablity of the substance ultimately determines how much of a substance actually affects the person.
